Dr Singh is a Doctorate in Law with about 38 years of Legal professional experience. He has been a Legal Adviser in Oil & Natural Gas Commission (now ONGC Ltd) and Head of Corporate Law & Regulatory Affairs in the Indian Gas major GAIL (India) Ltd.

He has a vast experience in formulating / vetting of Domestic & International Contracts for Gas exploration, laying of sub-marine & on-land Oil & Gas Pipelines, for Oil Rigs, production platforms, technical services and Gas supplies in Power, Steel, Fertilizers, Petrochemicals projects, LNG imports, Telecommunications, Oil & Gas Transportation by Rail, Road sectors.

Has played the legal role in the formation of subsidiaries – MGL (a JV with British Gas); IGL ( A JV of GAIL and BPCL) Petronet LNG Ltd ( A JV of Indian Oil gas majors ) Bhagyanagar Gas – a JV with Hindustan petroleum; Egypt Nile Gas Company etc.

His forte has been due diligence for M&As ( Haldia Petroleum & Chemicals Ltd; Greater Calcutta Gas Distribution Co. Ltd; Ratnagiri Gas Company etc ) and providing legal support for negotiations , finalization of contracts and legal Functional guidance towards various policies, procedures, investments & financing, labor laws, Companies Commercial Laws, Regulatory issues etc. Has also been associated in drafting and providing expert comments on various legislations / bills passed by the Parliaments in India (Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Bill; Arbitration & Conciliation Act; Petroleum Act, amendments etc); Has been a Sole Arbitrator / Member of Arbitration Tribunal in several commercial disputes.

He has been a senior Legal Consultant with Oman Air; AMJ & Company – Law firm; Oman-tel (Oman Telecommunications Group of Companies) Ba Omar & Al Farsi – Law firm in Muscat, OMAN and member legal of teams that negotiated supply contracts for Indo-Oman sub- sea pipeline, Indo- Oman LNG; Indo-Qatar LNG; Iran-Pak-India Pipeline; Indo-Bangladesh; Indo- Myanmar, Gazprom, Shell Petroleum, Total, British Petroleum etc; providing legal advisories to diverse clients for Gas purchase to Aircraft purchase and servicing contracts and agreements, regulatory & Arbitration matters. His clients have been Atlas Group of Hospitals, Sohar Port Trust; Shadeed Iron & Steel Company; Petrogas Rima E&P LLC; TRC (E & P) Company (A member of TRC Group of Thailand); Zerabi Group (Bahrain & Oman); Bank Muscat; Bank Dofar; Muscat Electricity Distribution Company; Islamic Development Bank Saudi Arabia, several other companies & individuals.

Has written & revised popular Law books, extensively followed by Students, Lawyers & Judges in the Legal profession – Justice R S Bachawat's Arbitration & Conciliation.

Giri has considerable techno-commercial experience in the Oil & Gas, Mining and Power Generation sectors. His expertise includes change management, strategic procurement, risk management, business planning, marketing, negotiation & implementation of contracts, and power plant construction, operations& maintenance.

He has held management positions with NTPC, ALSTOM, ABB, Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton Etcon projects in Australia, UK, Africa, India, SE Asia.

Girija has a powerful legacy of Leadership building in the last three decades. She initially taught at the Bhopal School of Social Sciences and thereafter practiced the socio-psychiatric expertise at one of the Command Hospitals of Indian Army. Last two and a half decades she devoted herself to people-building through counselling with the St. Francis de Sales where she established the non-formal education set up and worked for community development; family & child welfare besides Rehabilitation Administration and played a stellar role for the National Literacy Mission.

She has the distinction of being the head of a network of a huge family of diversely placed children who grew in her patronage and now hold the leadership positions in different walks of life. It is her strong relationship with the social environment which has facilitated the G-NGV promising and garnering the support of People4Planet.
